Kate is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who is committed to an evidence-based approach to the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. She has been trained in the provision of Family-Based Therapy for Anorexia-Nervosa and CBT-E. She has worked across a variety of settings, including public/private hospitals and community-based programs. Currently, Kate also works at the Children’s Hospital Westmead as part of their eating disorders team. Kate also has experience treating a wide-range of clinical presentations including anxiety disorders, depression, personality disorders and gambling disorder. Her work is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. Kate works collaboratively with her clients to implement practical strategies that enhance their sense of self-worth and instil long-lasting meaningful change.

Dr Rachel Brownlow

Rachel is a clinical psychologist, who strongly values an evidence-based approach to psychological therapy. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, within hospital, clinical, and community settings. Rachel has a particular interest in the treatment of eating disorders, and has gained extensive experience applying Maudsley Based Family Therapy for anorexia nervosa, during her work at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She has also supported adolescent patients in the hospital context, as they undergo refeeding as part of their treatment for anorexia nervosa. Rachel has completed a PhD, which examines the use of intra-nasal oxytocin in anorexia nervosa. This work has involved extensive contact with patients undergoing refeeding in private and public eating disorder services in Sydney. Rachel completed her clinical training at The University of Sydney, and has experience applying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Rachel has experience treating a number of different clinical presentations, including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, self-harm, emotion dysregulation, and personality disorders.

Victoria is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who is passionate about providing evidenced-based interventions for children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders and trauma. She obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University and has been trained in the provision of Family Based Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for eating disorders. Victoria’s work is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has experience in both the private and public health sector including Child and Youth Mental Health Services working with clients with eating disorders and other psychological difficulties including anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and personality disorders. Victoria also has extensive experience working specifically with survivors of sexual assault and other traumatic incidents. Victoria is a non-judgmental clinician who is committed to working collaboratively with her clients ¬to empower them to make meaningful change.

Ashlea is a registered Clinical Psychologist experienced in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns. Ashlea believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to success in treatment. Her therapy style is person-centred, creative, compassionate, and authentic. Ashlea works from a non-diet approach and is trained in various treatment approaches, including: Family Based Treatment (FBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy – Enhanced (CBT-E), the Conversational Model of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Ashlea will work closely with you to decide what treatment approach will work best to achieve your therapy goals. Claire is committed to forming a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. She seeks to foster a supportive therapeutic space while holding goals firmly in mind.
Claire has been trained in Family Based Treatment (FBT) for Anorexia Nervosa, as well as CBT for eating disorders in adolescents and adults. She is a member of ANZAED, ACPA and the APS. She employs a range of other evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including DBT, Schema Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Claire has also worked as a School Psychologist since 2018.
Claire’s PhD research at the University of Sydney investigated the interplay between bipolar disorder and eating disorders, and the roles of trauma and emotion regulation difficulties. She has published in scientific journals in the areas of mental health and behaviour change and continues to work as on a number of mental health research projects.

Together with colleagues at The Redleaf Practice, Jessica co-authored a publication pertaining to the effectiveness of implementing Maudsley Family-Based Treatment for adolescent Anorexia Nervosa in a private practice setting. Jessica holds memberships with the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders and the International Academy for Eating Disorders. Jessica also holds a position on the Social Media Committee for the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders and was on the Logistics Committee for the joint Academy for Eating Disorders/Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders inaugural Virtual International Conference on Eating Disorders in 2020.
